'Recycle with Clarity'

In September 2011, JUNK JUNK formed a partnership with Clarity Environmental to join their innovative national household WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) recycling initiative 'Recycle with Clarity'.

Under the arrangement, JUNK JUNK will provide doorstop collections of WEEE from homes in and around north London free of charge.

Clarity is a group of associated businesses specialising in environmental compliance and recycling.

Along with its WEEE Compliance Scheme, 'Econo-WEEE', Clarity is in the process of setting up a network of household WEEE recycling schemes around the UK to offer the public simple, easy and convenient recycling solutions for their household WEEE.

All WEEE collected under the 'Recycle with Clarity' initiative will be recycled in an environmentally-friendly manner and in accordance with current legislation.

Furthermore, unlike some WEEE recycling initiatives, none of the WEEE collected under the 'Recycle With Clarity' scheme will be exported abroad for processing.

How it works

From October 2011, rolling daily doorstop collections will take place in specific scheduled areas in and around north London in the early morning from Monday to Friday, during which we will collect the following items of broken or unwanted household WEEE from residential properties free of charge:

• hard drives
• telecoms equipment
• fridges
• freezers
• white goods
• ovens
• cookers
• microwaves
• televisions
• dishwashers
• air-conditioning units
• kettles
• toasters
• irons
• computer consoles
• power tools
• mobile phones
• MP3 players
• camcorders
• cameras
• kitchen appliances
• stereo and hi-fi equipment
• calculators
• chargers
• hairdryers
• anything with a plug on it
• anything with a battery in it

...and any other electronic and electrical equipment not listed above!

Look out for bright pink and green 'Recycle with Clarity' leaflets coming through your door!

There is no need to call or email us to book a collection as you can just leave your broken or unwanted electronic and electrical equipment outside your front door, driveway or gate (or main entrance door if you live in a flat) and we will collect it and take it away come rain, wind or shine - simple, easy and convenient!

Remember that this service is completely free of charge.

Just to put this into perspective, most rubbish clearance companies will charge up to £15 or more to dispose of a TV or computer monitor and up to £50 or more to dispose of a fridge freezer.
